Every year Global LifeVision sponsors between 5-8 children or teens that otherwise would not be going to school.  In Kenya, school must be paid for each term.  The typical cost of school fees for a public school is $250-$350 (depending on if they are in primary or high school) They must also have a couple of uniforms to be allowed in school.

We do our research and find the brightest, neediest child that would benefit the most.  (Although, who wouldn’t benefit! – we wish we could send EVERY child to school!!!)

Once we decide to “sponsor” the child – the commitment goes until they graduate from High School.  This is our most worthy project – because an education is something that drastically affects a child, a family and a community’s future.

Circumstances: He is orphaned and from a very poor family and very bright. He still has two terms in eight grade and four years in high school.

Antony Chiteri

Age: 17

School: Butere High School

Fees needed: $85 for this year and $250 for 2016 or $500 total

Circumstances:Antony is 17 years old and in grade 11, he was previously drug addict, but reformed when he was in grade 10 and changed his life for ever, he believes that the drugs wasted much of his time. He comes from a very humble background, his father is handicapped, so he has to depend on his poor mum who works on a small farm trying to grow crops for their food. No one from his family has gone beyond grade eight, and feels that he is the savior for his family through education. He humbly requests well-wishers to help him complete his education and vows to upgrade his family and village. He aspire to be an agricultural officer so he can help his villagers in growing of crops to increase food security, he has gone many nights without food, but believes that his villagers can do better in producing more crops.

 Dolphine Abina

Dolphine Abina is a 16 year old girl born to a family of five children.

She comes from a humble background in Kisii county, in Kenya.
She is an orphaned child.Her father died when she was only two years old.

Her mother is the sole parent who does any sort of labour including tilling land for people in order to put her children in school.
Dolphine requires 125 dollars school fees this year.
She is a second year student in high school.

Her school is called Gianchere friends mixed secondary school.
